We Canadians almost feel a sense of pride when we talk about how cold our climate is. It’s one of the things our great country is known for. However, letting that cold air enter our homes due to improper insulation is nothing to be proud of! Insufficient ventilation can lead to condensation and frost underneath your roof.
When we inspect a home, we take note of many aspects of the insulation in the dwelling. Our detailed home inspection report includes information on:

- Attic Insulation;
- Vapour Barriers;
- Crawl Spaces;
- Attic Ventilation; and
- Weather Stripping
Here we have identified the presence of vermiculite insulation which may contain asbestos. Verification was recommended.
The insulation in this roof needs upgrading in order to increase the "R" value of the home.
